DR. NABAMITA DE

ASSISTANT PROFESSOR - SOCIOLOGY

Dr. De's research interests are focused on the Sociology of Religion and Sociology of Health. She is a recipient of the prestigious West Bengal State Fellowship for her outstanding research contributions. Dr. De has actively participated in numerous National and International seminars and webinars, where she presented papers on her research findings. Her work has been published in various UGC CARE listed journals and reputable publication houses, reflecting her scholarly impact.

DR. NABAMITA DE biography

Dr. Nabamita De is an accomplished Assistant Professor specializing in Sociology, currently affiliated with Sister Nivedita University. She completed her education with distinction, holding a B.A. in Sociology Honors from Presidency College, Calcutta University, and went on to earn her M.A., M.Phil., and PhD from Jadavpur University. Additionally, she holds a B.Ed. from WBUTTEPA, enhancing her academic credentials.

With over 12 years of teaching experience, Dr. De has made significant contributions to the field of Sociology. Prior to her tenure at Sister Nivedita University, she served as the Head of the Sociology Department at ADAMAS University. Her academic journey includes engagements as a visiting faculty at esteemed institutions such as Jadavpur University, Kalyani University, and Bangabashi College, where she also taught as a guest faculty member.
