DR. PRASANTA GHOSHAL biography

Dr. Prasanta Ghoshal brings a wealth of academic experience and scholarly achievements to his role as Visiting Faculty in the Department of English at Sister Nivedita University.

With a career spanning over thirteen years as a lecturer at Sir Gurudas Mahavidyalaya, affiliated with the University of Calcutta, Dr. Ghoshal has established himself as a respected educator in the field of English literature. He has also served as a coordinator and visiting faculty at various colleges affiliated with Calcutta University, West Bengal State University, NSOU, DODL Kalyani University, and IGNOU. His dedication to academic excellence is further evidenced by his involvement as a NAAC Coordination Committee Member and active participation in Academic Staff Committee self-development workshops and UGC-HRDC, University of Calcutta initiatives.

Dr. Ghoshal's academic journey includes a profound exploration of literary themes and critical areas. He completed his M. Phil. thesis on Trauma, Mother Archetype, and Bengal Partition, while his doctoral research focused on Literature of the Apocalypse. His scholarly interests extend to partition and contemporary politics, trauma studies, Foucault studies, crisis psychology, tribal life and women, and doomsday studies, showcasing his interdisciplinary approach to literary and cultural analysis.
