Professor and former head, dept of English and former dean, faculty of arts, Calcutta University has been the recipient of the fulbright postdoctoral fellowship and fulbright scholar in residence grant, Australia India council fellowship, gender studies fellowship grant, University of British Columbia, among others. She has been invited to participate in conferences and has taught/lectured at universities in the USA, UK, Europe, Canada and Australia.

PROFESSOR (DR.) SANJUKTA DASGUPTA biography

Professor Sanjukta Dasgupta is a distinguished academic, having served as the head of the Department of English and the Dean of the Faculty of Arts at Calcutta University. She has been the recipient of several prestigious fellowships and grants, including the Fulbright Postdoctoral Fellowship, Fulbright Scholar in Residence Grant, Australia India Council Fellowship, and Gender Studies Fellowship Grant from the University of British Columbia, among others.

Professor Dasgupta has been invited to participate in conferences and has lectured at numerous universities across the USA, UK, Europe, Canada, and Australia. She currently serves as the President of the Executive Council of the Indian Poetry and Performance Library at ICCR, Kolkata. She was nominated by Sahitya Akademi, New Delhi, as the Convenor of the English Language Board and is a member of Sahitya Akademi Delhi's General Council. In 2018, she served as a Visiting Professor at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland. Professor Dasgupta received the IWSFF Women Achievers Award in Kolkata in 2019 and the Wei Kamala Das Poetry Award in 2020.
